Douglas Costa

Bayern Munich have signed many players from the Bundesliga over the past few years and this year seems to be no different. Borussia Dortmund have been shrewd negotiators when it comes to the transfer window and seem to always uncover hidden gems in Europe.

Douglas Costa and Callum Hudson-Odoi are two wingers that Bayern Munich are targeting this summer. Brazilian Douglas Costa is currently at the club on loan, however, coach Hansi Flick wants to make the loan deal permanent this summer.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has been a player the club have been targeting for a few seasons now with the Englishman failing to impress at Chelsea. Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Lemar is also an option, however, the club are unlikely to want to take a loss on their £70 million investment from 2018 which is too steep for the Bavarians.

Norwich City’s Max Aarons has also interested the club with a £35 million deal reportedly in the works. Since the club were relegated from the Premier League, Aarons has been linked to an exit and Bayern Munich’s right back worries make them the favourites.

Borussia Dortmund will be desperate to close the gap on their title rivals Bayern Munich and could do so this summer. Their first job will be to keep hold of Erling Haaland who’s attracted interest from every top European club as has Englishman Jadon Sancho who could be attracted to a move to the Premier League.

If they can keep hold of the spine of their squad, they’ll already be going into next season stronger. Wilfried Zaha and Dean Henderson have been linked to the club as have Bundesliga players Florian Neuhaus, Peter Gulacsi and Maxence Lacroix.

RB Leipzig failed to keep AS Roma’s Patrick Schick despite a £30 million bid and the club will have to replace him this summer. Bruno Petkovic and Dusan Vlahovic are both cheaper options for the club and are likely to be targeted this summer.

Schalke 04 will negotiate for the sale of Liverpool loanee Ozan Kabak which could be a deal in the region of 15 to 20 million pounds. Another Schalke player who could leave is Amine Harit following a January pursuit from Atalanta.

Lyon’s Thiago Mendes could be looking at a £20 million deal to join Wolfsburg, however, the deal may be funded by the sales of Wout Weghorst to Premier League sides Arsenal or Newcastle and Josip Brekalo to Serie A outfit Atalanta.

Borussia Monchengladbach’s Jonas Hofmann could join Chelsea this summer which would fund the club’s summer transfer window. Liverpool are interested in Denis Zakaria which would be another big-money deal and if both players were to leave, the club would have a large transfer budget.

Andre Silva and Fredi Bobic look set to leave Eintracht Frankfurt with Arsenal and Hertha Berlin look interested respectively. Luka Jovic would be an ideal signing for Frankfurt fans, however, he looks likely to rejoin Real Madrid after his loan deal expires this summer.
