Jack Grealish

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has been linked to most top clubs over the past few seasons. Ever since Aston Villa were promoted, he’s been able to show his ability in the best league in the world and has attracted some interest.

Jack Grealish has been touted as one of the best midfielders in the world and his performances in the league have earned him an England call-up. Many pundits have claimed that Grealish deserves to be named “Premier League player of the year” however due to Aston Villa’s lack of a title challenge, it’s likely to go to a member of the title-winning squad.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have all shown interest and are the top favourites to get Grealish’s signature. The 25-year-old has a contract that runs until 2025 and has a £100 million price tag on his head which is unlikely to put off any potential suitors.

Manchester United are the favourites to sign Jack Grealish and his transfer has been highlighted as a priority for the club by club legends such as Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand. Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek , Scott McTominay, Fred, Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata are the side’s current midfield options and Grealish would be a huge addition to these.

Many believe Manchester United could line up with a midfield trio of Grealish, Fernandes and Pogba which would have incredible firepower. If the club were to line up with this midfield, it would give them one of the best midfields in Europe.

High spending Manchester City could afford to break the bank to bring in Jack Grealish and he would thrive in their system according to Gareth Barry. The chance to work with Pep Guardiola would be difficult to turn down as the Spaniard has led many sides to glory.

Manchester City already have Rodri, Fernandinho, Phil Foden, Ilkay Gündogan and Kevin De Bruyne and will be ready to add Grealish to the lineup. Any midfield that includes Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne in it will dominate any match and would be a scary match for any team in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

There were calls for Grealish to sign for Arsenal a few months ago and the deal isn’t as far fetched as many Aston Villa fans think. When the rumours came out, Aston Villa fans went into hysterics saying Arsenal is “not big enough” to sign a player of Grealish’s quality.

Martin Ødegaard, Emile Smith Rowe and Dani Ceballos are the only players at Arsenal who play in Grealish’s position. Ødegaard will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season and space will open up for Jack Grealish.

If Grealish joined Arsenal, he would be an undisputed starter and a potential captain if he committed to the club for a long time and led from the front. If Arsenal make a few signings around him, they could push for Champions League football which isn’t something he could get at Aston Villa.
